OMG... earlier this week, the heat broke! It was cool, grey, and drizzling...
And I'm Irish... so that's perfect weather!
Enough of the salad thing... time for foooood!
Lentils cooked with garlic, onions, carrots, celery. Hot Italian sausage sautéed with wine, tomato sauce, sage, red pepper flakes, and smoked paprika. Top the lentils with the sausage... And a dollop of sour cream...
Eat! Enjoy! And have red wine since it's cool (temperature... not attitude)!
I know everyone else longs for summer. I long for cool and, yes, even cold weather. But as soon as it's hot enough for tomatoes to ripen, I'll be perfectly happy with a daily Caprese!
