Please excuse the snow photography...

It's yet another snow day here in the wilds of Connecticut. I'm about to open a production of Much Ado at the Connecticut Rep... the same theater where I did O Beautiful a little over a year ago. This production is directed by the wonderful Paul Mullins and is set in the '50s: Ella, Frank, Newport... lots of fun.
So. No rehearsal tonight because UConn is closed because of the storm... and I needed comfort food.
With a lot of garlic and red pepper, because many of the student members of the cast are sick.
I can't afford to catch the disease because I'm scheduled to cook on the local Fox morning show to promote the show... and I'm hosting Much Ado About Dinner at a local hotel, an evening of good food and (hopefully) good stories about my twin passions: Shakespeare and food.
So. I made some pasta... sautéed some hot Italian sausage with about 7 cloves of garlic... added 2 cups of minced broccoli and some pasta water. This combo is so strongly flavored that it takes only a small shower of Parmesan. A wonderful snow day meal.

Tomorrow.....back to rehearsal!
